They welcome Congress of Industrial Organizations President Philip Murray who asks, "Is there another chair in that lodge, boys?" He carries a sign reading "Deliberate Sabotage of Organizational Efforts! Treason to the Principles of Labor! -- John L. Lewis." Fiery United Mine Workers President John L. Lewis had a long record of clashing with business leaders, conservative politicians, President Roosevelt, and rival labor organizations.
