CALL NUMBER:CD 1 - Berryman (C.K.), no. 425 (A size) <P&P>[P&P]

SUMMARY:Cartoon shows President Coolidge sitting in the "Swampscott Summer White House" studying the "U.S. Tax Report." Around him are stacked other volumes labeled "Tax Statistics" and "Tax Returns." Through an open door can be seen boys fishing. To escape the heat of Washington, Coolidge spent the summer of 1925 in Swampscott, Massachusetts, where he continued to conduct business as usual. Berryman pokes fun at the newspaper reports that he was enjoying his vacation "like a schoolboy." The President took little interest in sports or any kind of exercise.
