SUMMARY:Cartoon shows Soviet leader Stalin in the back seat of a car, pointing a gun at the head of the frightened driver (labeled "East Germany"). Suggests that although the Soviet Union has permitted the establishment of the German Democratic Republic, the political purges of the opposition parties in 1949 and 1950 have made it clear that the Russians are still in control.
