The pieces are labeled "Algeria," "Libya," "Egypt," "Sudan," "Saudi Arabia," "Syria," "Iraq," "Iran," "S. Yemen," and "Oman." In December 1977, representatives from Israel, Egypt, the United States, and the United Nations met in an historic unprecedented meeting in Cairo to try to begin to solve the conflict between Israel and the other Middle Eastern states. Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, the Soviet Union, and the Palestinians boycotted the meeting.
